Did you know what Fondes Amandes Community Reforestation Project Does. Let's take a quick look and don't forget to leave your comments

Organic gardening/permaculture (Clean Tree Organic Nursery)
The entire project is maintained without petrochemical pesticides or fertilizers. All project modules and activities are designed by observing ecosystems so that they are in harmony with their surroundings. Trees are planted & some are for sale.
Community Eco-Tourism
Community members are currently developing the infrastructure needed to support community ecological tours, which can be marketed to urban tourists, namely, cruise ship arrivals.
Forest Fires Prevention
During the dry season the Project area is kept clean and fire traces are cut. In March the Project hosts its annual Gayap that combines work music and food involving schools and the national community.
Tree Planting
This activity takes place in the early part of the rainy season. In addition to hardwood and fruit trees, community members also plant species that accelerate succession and whose materials will support the craft and cottage industries.

Community recycling/composting

In keeping with the philosophies of sustainable living, FACRP, in collaboration with Clean Trees Organic Nursery (CTON). Has initiated a community- wide composting and recycling programme.

Craft and Cottage Industry
Members of the community are being trained in craft making and other saleable items using the fruits of the projects. A co-operative will be established to facilitate the retailing of items to the public.
Music and Culture

Through music and culture the FACRP have been able to empower youths in the community. The group performed at many drumming competitions. Every year our group participates in the Emancipation Celebrations.
Community Outreach
The FACRP coordinated field trips for our community members. We visited several nature resorts and communities to see how they do conservation work.
